The story behind…

Inspired by Caravaggio’s Bacchus from the late 16th century, Kezzyn adds layers of modern-day narrative as an allegory to the world art market. Where greed and fame are the driving forces, the artist transforms original mythology to invoke a satirical reality. Kezzyn includes his self portrait in the reflection of the carafe and like the original, the artist is present.
